Lataguri

Lataguri was a small rural community close to Gorumara Forests, till little years back. Nowadays it is the core of tourism bustle in Dooars with high focus of tourist accommodations.
Lataguri is the base for tour to Gorumara National Park & around place. Tourism around Gorumara in progress in Lataguri and its adjacent area even if nowadays vast number of voyager accommodation has come up all around the forest together with in Murti, Ramsai and other area.Even today most tourists desire to stay around Lataguri. There is a Nature Interpretation Centre at Lataguri which issues ticket for day visitors in the interior forest, known as forest safari. Cultural programs such as ethnic boogie etc. are organized at the centre in the dusk.

Dooars

The Dooars, not so much known to the world, the Dooars valley stretching from River Teesta on the west to River Sankosh on the east, over a span of 130 km by 40 km, forms a major part of Jalpaiguri district.Derived from the word 'doors' (doors to Bhutan), this region also forms a gateway to the hill stations of North Bengal, Sikkim, Bhutan & the North-Eastern states. The dense natural forests interwoven with lush green tea gardens are cries-crossed by Teesta, Raidak, Torsha, Jaldhaka, Kaljani and other rivers & their innumerable tributaries trotting and rolling down from the hills.

Gorumara National Park

Gorumara National Park the land of prehistoric Great Indian one horned Rhinoceros is located in the mood plains of Murti & Jaldhaka rivers of Dooers (Rolling hill slops) region with in Jalpaiguri District in West Bengal. The dry deciduous forestland inters parsed with grassland, harbor one of largest diversity of mega fauna in west Bengal. In view of its great diversity it was declared as National Park in 1994 Comprising a total area of 79.99 km.
Note: Jungle Safari Closed ever year 15th July to 16th September.
